When I try to start the Project Portal or download JInitiator, my browser returns a "page not found" message or blank screen. Why? |
This is a problem related to your company's firewall and other security measures. The listener for the Project Portal Application is on TCP Server Port 85 and the Java Applet initially uses TCP Server Port 84 to launch and subsequently uses Port 9000. Check with your system administrator and make sure these ports are available for communications. Your administrator may wish to open these ports to WebPE only, in which case you'll need to know that WebPE's IP address is 4.33.17.187.

When I attempt to use WebPE/Environmental on the PC on my company's LAN I receive a message such as "Compilation Error" and am unable to connect. However, I have no problem connecting to WebPE from my home PC. Any ideas? |
You could be experiencing a problem related to your company's firewall and other security measures. The Java Applets use TCP Server Port 9000. Check with your technical resource and make sure this port is available for use by WebPE Java Applets. |

I'm trying to access WebPE/Environmental but the Main Menu is not displayed. I'm using Internet Explorer 4 with Service Pack 1 installed. Any ideas? |
Yes. The original Service Pack 1 for Internet Explorer 4 has problems loading JInitiator. We recommend you install IE4 Service Pack 2, or, even better, IE5. |

Can I obtain the browser add-ons on CDROM? |
