An access point is a secure connection to the data center for organizations or individuals.
Multiple access points can be established for one organization, or multiple organizations can interface with the data center through one access point. An access point provides a pre-configured view of the database and/or website based on the access rules specified by the customer.
A data center is initially configured with one access point.
A subscriber may want to establish separate access points for public users, vendors and suppliers, government agencies, and partners. Developing an access point requires completion of an Access Point Specification form by the customer. Based on these specifications, WebPE then creates custom user roles, users, and security procedures.
WebPE charges a one-time fee for labor and tools required to establish each access point.
